Ullas P Nambiar is an R&D Specialist at Nokia Networks with over 11 years of experience in the IT industry. He is an expert in cloudification, containerisation, Linux, and networking. Currently, Ullas is part of the cloud-native transformation team and is working on feature design for container orchestration and networking across multiple sites of Nokia Shared Data Layer, a real-time distributed unified data repository (UDR) product. Ullas has extensive experience in telecom product architecture, including performance, high availability, resiliency, geo-redundancy, and stateless architecture. He has also designed and developed orchestration and commissioning frameworks with Python and Ansible for automation of the life cycle management of VNFs on the cloud. Ullas has expertise in Helm charts and NFVO-based orchestration of container network functions, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of Nokia container solution platforms, and Nokia VIM based on OpenStack. Ullas has worked with multiple customers for solution architecture and is involved in CI/CD pipeline implementation based on Jenkins for VNF complete life cycle flow from component artifacts till final build qualification post end-to-end testing on cloud platforms. He has also migrated VNF orchestration from OpenStack to VMware vCloud and vSphere and automated integration and verification testing of complete life cycle management of VNFs via Nokia VNF manager on Nokia Virtual Infrastructure. Prior to joining Nokia, Ullas worked as a Senior Engineer - Software Delivery at Ericsson and an Engineer - BSS at Nokia. He has relevant experience of 13.12 years and is proficient in Python, DevOps, test, Kubernetes, integration, Ansible, infra, Jenkins, microservices, CI/CD, and Docker.
